Another Casualty

I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt now we'll ever learn the truth about Benghazi and, as a result, no one in the Obama administration will have to pay a price for it.

The still GOP-controlled House will be accused by the elite liberal media of sour grapes if they press the issue and those that persist anyway will be dismissed as obsessive loons.  Oh, and professional Republicans, forever fearful of a backlash, can be counted on to counsel everyone to drop it as well.

  1. Perhaps the main street media is just a reflection of a genuine disinterest by what we know now to be an actual majority of the population.
The protectors of free society will continue ,for a time, to die on far away altars to the gods of liberty to keep the sheep safe, ingrateful or not. But only for a time. Eventually the hand that feeds will grow weary of being bitten and the sheep will go to their own ruin. And to hell with the lot of them.
    The stage is set.

  2. Perhaps, but I think the people would care more if they knew more. Our reflex is to trust, because we have little choice but to trust, our leaders both in and out of government to actually lead, and to do so honestly. We may be fools for doing so, but not unfaithful. Reserve most of your frustration for the leadership, not for your fellow citizens.

But, I'll confess, the "people" can really get under my skin too from time to time.

    Cheers.
